- Inventories provide a valuable primary source material
rich in historical evidence. Children can be encouraged
to make some deductions about the lives of the people
who lived in Tudor times from the nature of their
belongings, particularly if comparisons can be drawn
with the sorts of possessions from less wealthy houses.

good source of information. During the visit use digital
cameras to record the visit and particular places

out what it would have been like to live and work
in that building in the past. Produce an information
sheet on an aspect of the visit incorporating the
digital images.
- Use tape recorders to interview people in the local
area to find out about the changes in the district.
Collect images from the local area over a number of
